Friday's Encouragement: Fight for your Dream!
Friday's Encouragement has been brought to you by Les Brown - he wrote this, I just thought it was VERY powerful and needed to be shared - to uplift people!
You have something special. You have greatness within you. You have something no one else has: some idea; some invention; some cause, message or movement; a unique voice, idea or kind of leadership. You have something the world needs, and if you don't bring it out, we will all be deprived.
To prove to you that you have something special, let me remind you that you were chosen, one out of four hundred million sperm. You stood out in the eyes of God. He chose you and put in you something that needed to be produced and expressed on this earth plane, and it is mandatory that you do whatever is required to make sure that you complete your mission.
To be successful, you must ward off the inner demons of mediocrity, fear, lack of self-confidence–all of your internal obstacles and challenges, as well as your external challenges. To do this, you must be at your best at all times. You must be willing to go to the center of the ring and fight to achieve the things that will give your life a sense of meaning, purpose and value.
To manifest your greatness, you must immerse yourself in an ongoing process of self-awareness, self-approval, self-commitment and self-fulfillment. Transforming your life requires dying to who you are now and giving birth to whom you must become. It's going to take everything in you to be focused and disciplined and to keep the faith. It will be the most challenging experience you will ever have. Perhaps that's why Shakespeare wrote, in his play Julius Caesar, "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in the stars, but in ourselves that we are underlings." We live in a world where we are constantly being criticized and made to feel as though we don't matter. This creates a level of cynicism, frustration and hopelessness. We end up going through life with a limited vision and living as volunteer victims.
In the process of self-discovery, you will meet internal and external opposition that will challenge your faith and your resolve. You might receive a fatal diagnosis, or something may happen to someone you care about, or you may literally have your life as you know it snatched out from under you. In some cases family members and friends will turn against you, and you will begin to doubt yourself. However, I can tell you based upon my own experience that, in spite of those things, you have something special. You have greatness in you. You are greater than your circumstances, or anything that you have ever experienced or are facing right now.
I have a saying: "If life knocks you down, try to land on your back, because if you can look up, you can get up." You have greatness within you, and the canvas is no place for your greatness. You have comeback power! The greatest power that God has given you is the power to choose–to surrender, or to stand up inside yourself and fight.
So, I encourage you all to GET UP and FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAM!
~ Enjoy your weekend! Be Blessed...
