Sun Poisioning ~ Sunburn
My son over the weekend, experience an allergic reaction along with getting a sunburn! Ouch!
Personally, I have never gotten a sunburn. So, I’ve never experience that. So, I don’t know what it’s like to have one. BUT boy did I get a lesson in that this weekend. My son has fair skin and needs a lot more protection on his skin, than I do. So, we BOTH got a lesson on that this weekend. When I saw his face swollen. I immediately thought allergic reaction…but others who were fair skinned believed he got sun poisoning along with an allergic reaction. Took him to the doctor, to check and he agreed a combination of both! Wowzers!
Within just 15 minutes of being in the sun, you can be sunburned. But you might not know it right away. The redness and discomfort might not show up for a few hours.
You can become severely sunburned if you stay in the sun a long time and don't wear protection. You are more likely to sunburn if you have light skin and fair hair.
