Single Mama Drama

Single Parent's Kids say:
Why can't you come on my Field Trip?
Why aren't you at my school during the day, like the other mom's/dad's?
Why can't we go there?
Why do you have to work?
Why don’t I have a dad/mom that lives with me?
I want to go to the Dad's Pizza Night at school, can I go?
How was I born if you are not married?

Single Parent is thinking:
I can't do this.
I don't know how to do this by myself.
I don't know how to handle this situation.
I'm tired of doing things by myself.
I need help.
Will I ever get married?
Will someone accept me and my child(ren)?
Will I be able to make it to their game (school activity)?
Will I be able to afford this and that?

And so on and so on....

In a Single Parent's world, lots of questions and thoughts go through our minds and that of our children. Causing a lot of turmoil at times. Unanswered questions. Mixed emotions.

Life as a Single Parent is challenging. You have your kid in one ear asking all these millions of questions. That hurts your heart to hear, let alone answer. How does one answer certain questions, without making the absent parent look bad? Trying to keep positive. Then, you have society judging you in the other ear, not knowing your story.

It surely isn't fun being a Single Parent. Many single mom's or dad's are not in this situation by choice. A great number of Single Mom's who are in this situation have been raped, divorced, abandoned or widowed, etc. Men have custody of their children for various reasons including abandonment, neglect or abuse by the mother. No matter why or how you became a Single Parent. God still cares and love us all. Being a Single Parent is a tough job and with His help you can make it through every situation and be at PEACE. Nothing is Impossible for Him.

So, keep your head up. Trust God to guide you in all things. When He is your SOURCE you will always be provided for with no worries...because that's how God is set up. He is a Provider. He doesn't condemn you. He loves you and give you thoughts of PEACE, HOPE and a FUTURE. Move forward with Christ and you will be prosperous in every area of your life.

New Movie "Single Mom's Club" out today Produced by Tyler Perry his response to why he made the movie:

I was doing an interview recently and the interviewer asked me why was I glorifying single moms. I explained to him that single moms needed to be celebrated, not ostracized. Most single moms are not that way by choice. Circumstance caused them to be in that situation and just like my Aunt Jerry, who raised four boys by herself, she never complained and never asked for handouts. She did what she had to do. Why hate on single moms? Are you kidding me? I know so many people who were raised by single moms and I know a lot of single moms. It’s the hardest job in the world when you do it right.

So this movie is dedicated to the single moms that are doing it right and a wake up call to the ones who aren’t. You never know who you’re raising.

Let’s be clear: this is not a male-bashing, woe-is-me, I’m-a-single-mother movie. This is a movie about the strength of the single mom. I did this movie to show the world what a lot of you go through. It’s funny, it’s heartfelt, it’s full of hope, but most of all it’s about how coming together can change your life. I want you to go see it, single mom or not.

This movie is important for so many reasons. It celebrates one of the most overlooked people in our country. I just want to say that I see you single moms, I hear you, and to everybody out there that knows one or was raised by one, bring them to the movies tomorrow. Lets show them that we are thankful.

This one’s for you, single moms, HAPPY SINGLE MOTHERS DAY!
