The Importance of Prayer

Hello August! :) My Birthday month, established on 8.21.83. So last year, I decided to do a 21 days fast to exit out of my old year and start my new year off with a spiritual and natural cleanse. The results were great... so I decided to do the fast every year going forward. I know it's not what most people would do their Birthday month to celebrate but I'm not most people. I'm Coasta.

I call this fast #821Fast, the number 821 signifies my Birthday and the number 8 means new beginnings and they say it takes 21 days to form a new habit... so this is the reasoning behind 821Fast.

Last year, I focused on becoming a woman of purpose. This year, I felt like I should focus on Prayer. So each day I will speak about Prayer.

I feel that as Believers of Christ, prayer is the one thing that most of us struggle with and it's also our way to communicate and spend time with our Father.

So today, we focus on the IMPORTANCE of PRAYER.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says: If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Prayer is POWER.

God is saying if we as Believers of Christ would HUMBLE ourselves and seek Him by speaking to Him, then will He hear our cries and heal our land.

When we Pray... we are saying, we are not too big for God and that we need Him. When we Pray, we worship God and we honor who He is. When we Pray, we grow in our walk in Christ because when we pray and seek Him; He listens and answers us. He shows us the way to go and how to be but when we negate that time; we negate His word over our lives and His power... therefore leaving us powerless.

Prayer is POWER.

As Christians, it is our greatest weapon against the enemy... so let's not give the enemy any room to takeover our lives... and let's Pray!

Love, Peace & Christ
